What's new at the Metro
It's been a little over two weeks since we switched all our digital infrastructure to toast, and I can say that the change has been for the better. The complete native integration of features like rewards and more dining options which we'll mention in a bit have been wonderful enhancements to our guests' experience. The only remaining items not currently operational are our ios and android apps. The good news is that as of this morning, the status of both apps has moved to what looks to be the final phase before release. We'll of course advise everyone when they are ready for download and we're also going to include an exclusive offer for anyone who downloads the app.
A few new things to mention:
We now have the ability to initiate a delivery order from the restaurant when you call an order in. Option for delivery was previously available with an online order but we can now do it with phoned orders. Please keep in mind that our friendly Metropolitan ai, Metra, can't take delivery orders yet so kindly ask her to connect you to a team member and we'll take it from there.
Speaking of delivery, since our switch to toast online ordering, our delivery charge has decreased from $5 to $3.99 for standard distance of up to 4 miles and $5 for extended delivery which now stretches up to 10 miles.
If you haven't logged into Metro Rewards since we switched platforms, we've included the link below. Sign in using either your phone number or email and you should then be able to see your new account. Don't hesitate to contact us with any questions.
Metra continues to get better thanks to you. Our ai continues to learn and improve with every interaction the agent has with our guests. So far, she has a 100% success rate with takeout orders take. She can modify your menu choices and even include special instructions for the kitchen. Yelp is currently working on building in Curbside pickup dining option and integrating Metro Rewards and Delivery options are in the works as well. Until rewards is fully integrated, you can give Metra your rewards phone number when asked if you would like to add a message to the kitchen.
We're excited to have implemented an ai host agent because it gives our hosts more time to provide better guest service to our dine in guests. With Metra handling reservations, most answers and now pick up orders and doing it very well, this approach benefits all our guests.
